• Registration Information

You can register for the meeting on-line using the Symposium's user-friendly website. The online pre-registration deadline is January 20, 2006. If you would like to register after this date you must do so at the conference itself and pay the higher fees associated with late registration. Registration information and fees can be found below.

During on-line registration you have the option of paying for your hotel as well as different days of the conference. All fees can be paid on-line via a credit card. If you prefer to mail your registration payment, please send check (drawn on U.S. bank) or money order (U.S. funds) made out to "Pro Peninsula" to:

Your registration (including hotel) will not be confirmed until your payment is received.

Sponsorship: Please consider becoming a sponsor for the event, sponsoring a community, an individual or a coffee break! Please see below for sponsorship options. During the on-line registration you will be able to sign up to be a sponsor.

  • $5,000.00 = Sponsor the Saturday night celebration dinner
  • $1,000.00 = Sponsor an international community (this will allow 4 people from outside of Baja California, including mainland Mexico, Japan and Central America, that are working to preserve sea turtles to attend the meeting with paid transportation, lodging and food)
  • $600.00 = Sponsor a community (this will allow 4 people from remote towns in Baja California that are working to preserve sea turtles to attend the meeting with paid transportation, lodging, and food)
  • $300.00 = Co-sponsor a conference lunch
  • $200.00 = Co-sponsor a conference breakfast
  • $150.00 = Sponsor one community member's attendance (includes meals, lodging and transportation)
  • $100.00 = Sponsor a coffee break
  • $50.00 = Sponsor a day of meals for a community member
  • $20.00 = Sponsor a sea turtle book

Full registration for both days of the conference with food and hotel:

$85 for a quadruple
$95 for a triple
$110 for a double
$125 for a single

Conference registration without hotel:

$50 both days
$30 one day

Conference registration without food or hotel:

$20 both days
$10 one day

Extra meal tickets:

$15/extra ticket to the Saturday evening celebration dinner

Student Special:

All students receive $25 off registration.

Scholarships:

Scholarships are available for up to four community/monitoring team members as well as two children/students (17 and under) from each of the Baja California and Sea of Cortez monitoring sites. Additionally, there are a limited number of scholarships available for monitoring team members from international sites. Please contact kama@propeninsula.org if you believe you qualify for a scholarship BEFORE you fill out the registration form. Scholarships will not be awarded after the registration deadline.
• Cancellation Policy

Please note that you may cancel your registration up to two weeks before the start of the symposium and receive a refund of your fees. A 10% administration fee will be charged against ALL cancellations. Fees for cancellations requested after 20th January 2006 cannot be refunded.
