Pre-meeting Field Trip: 9-14 September 2007: Lower Devonian through basal Carboniferous strata of eastern Nevada and western Utah. Departs Las Vegas 9 September 2007 - $960 - includes guidebook, lodging, meals, transportation. Field trip is limited to 34 participants.

• Registration

Registration: $90 - includes abstract volume, coffee/tea, banquet, entrance to technical sessions, field trip to Devil's Gate Devonian section or tour of Ruby Hill Mine.

Registration w/ meals: $170 - three lunches and two dinners catered in nearby club in addition to regular registration. Late registration and on site group meals add 20%. All registrations will be online through a secure site.

• Abstracts

Abstracts: oral or poster presentations, extended abstracts up to two pages, including figures. Abstract form available on web page, 12 pt font, Times New Roman.

Abstract deadline 1 June 2007.

Oral Presentations: Microsoft PowerPoint version 10 or compatible. Special arrangements for other media may be possible, please contact D.J. Over.

Posters: 120 cm x 150 cm maximum.

Publication of proceedings: Paleontographica Americana, a publication of the Paleontological Research Institute in Ithaca, New York, will publish papers presented at the meeting, as well as other contributions on Devonian topics. Manuscripts are due to D.J. Over before 15 October 2007. The target publication date is 1 March 2008. Instructions for authors are at http://www.priweb.org/bookstore/author_instructions.html

• Lodging and Transportation

Conference Lodging: Best Western Eureka Inn - (775) 237-5247

Lodging reservations must be made by 1 June 2007. Motel space is very limited in Eureka. The next closest towns are Ely 124 km (77 miles) and Elko 180 km (110 miles)

Travel to Eureka: Eureka is somewhat isolated, with no regular public transport, but the setting and atmosphere should compensate for the inconvenience. The closest air and bus service is to Elko, Nevada.

Major airlines fly to Elko, Nevada (Delta connecting in Salt Lake City) - Driving time from Elko to Eureka 2:20; Reno, Nevada - Driving time from Reno to Eureka 5:15; Salt Lake City, Utah - Driving time from Salt Lake City to Eureka 6:10; Las Vegas, Nevada - Driving time from Las Vegas to Eureka 7:15. Bus from Las Vegas to Elko is 16 hrs; Reno to Elko is 5:20, arriving at 12:20 PM; Salt Lake City to Elko is 4:30, arriving at 2:30 PM. A shuttle from Elko to Eureka on 14 September and return on 18 September can be arranged - $130 is estimated cost (taxi from Elko to Eureka is $300). - also see the ride board on the web page to contact potential drivers/riders.

The field trip departs from Las Vegas, will take participants to Eureka, and return to Las Vegas by the late afternoon on 18 September. Participants, especially for the field trip, are encouraged to arrive early to ensure connections to Las Vegas. Participants flying out of Las Vegas following the field trip and conference meeting should schedule their flight for the morning of 19 September or after.

A 10% penalty on all credit card returns. No refunds for lodging after 12 July 2007.
