Other Accommodations

The other nine hotels on Jekyll Island range from US $57 to $290. Tent or motor home camping can be found at three different local campgrounds, and other accommodations are available at one B&B, or at cottages that house 1 - 6 persons.

Travel

The Jekyll Island area is served by international airports at Jacksonville, Florida and Savannah, Georgia. Of the two, Jacksonville (55 miles) is considerably closer, and offers direct flights to and from many major cities in the United States and Canada, and is serviced by many U.S. carriers including Delta, Continental, US Airways, United, Southwest, and JetBlue. The meeting site is easily reached by auto via major coastal highway (I-95, US 17). There is a daily bridge fee ($3) for those driving to the island. Travel from the Jacksonville and Savannah Airports to Jekyll Island may also be accomplished by a local shuttle service: Advantage Limo 1-877-634-5466. To reduce shuttle service costs by grouping travelers needing shuttle service, please contact local Committee Chair Billy Brooks by September 21, 2005 for assistance.
