• Scientific Program

The scientific program will consist of oral and poster sessions, a plenary lecture, workshops and symposia (see www.waterbirds.org for more information). We anticipate the following symposia topics: wood storks, shorebirds, Atlantic seabirds, and marshbirds (contact Francie Cuthbert, cuthb001@umn.edu). Three workshops are scheduled: Status of the U.S. breeding population of Wood Storks (contact Billy Brooks, billy_brooks@fws.gov); Status of Marshbirds (contact Kathy Parsons, parsonsk@manomet.org); and SE Regional Waterbird Plan (contact Chuck Hunter, Chuck_Hunter@fws.gov or Walker Golder, wgolder@audubon.org). Contributed papers and posters may be on any subject related to waterbirds that involves science and its applications. We strongly encourage students to attend and present their research results; awards will be given for the best student oral and poster presentations. Questions about the Scientific Program should be addressed to:
